Our Mission

Have you asked yourself what you think are the core values of Christianity? There isn’t a more important question, or a timelier one. We know there’s a lot of competing answers out there, so it’s easy to get confused in the mix of denominations and groups. We struggled with it ourselves for a while, and share with you the results of our struggle.

We believe the basic themes which run through the entire Biblical story and the core values of the Christian faith are God’s unconditional love and justice for all of us and the call for each of us to embody this in our own lives.  Our mission at Travis Park is the practice of unconditional love and justice.

What's Unconditional Love and Justice In Action?

This church has been recognized as a Welcoming Congregation by The United Methodist Church through Igniting Ministry, the television and welcoming ministry of the church. This mark of recognition is earned each year through efforts of a local congregation to prepare actively and intentionally to receive newcomers. By attending regional training events or by using Igniting Ministry resources, United Methodists can develop new hospitality skills to help bring people through their church doors and give them a reason to stay.
