F.A.Q.s
Q. How are my gifts to the Travis Park Foundation different than normal giving to the church?
The Foundation investments are permanent and only the earnings from these investments will be spent in targeted areas. When funds are available and distributed, they will support the mission of Travis Park as directed by you.
Q. Can I designate a special type of gift?
Special gifts are a great way to show others how much you care about special people and your congregation. These named and designated gifts include memorials (remembering family or church members) or tributes (recognizing special occasions). You may designate a specific use for your gift.
Q. What are the benefits of having a permanent endowment fund?
A permanent endowment enhances TPUMC’s ministry and outreach programs. It helps care for the church facilities and it encourages better stewardship of our money. For donors, it provides lifetime support for a favorite ministry and the potential for a remembered legacy.
Q. What other gifts can be made to the Foundation?
In addition to the ones already noted, additional types of gifts include planned gifts, personal property (cars and boats, etc.), or any gift of value.
Q. What is a planned gift?
A planned gift to the Foundation is a financial gift structured to serve the needs of the TPUMC as well as the giver, such as charitable gift annuities, wills, and charitable remainder or charitable remainder lead trusts.
Q. Is my gift too small?
No, because all gifts are pooled in the endowment, they have a cumulative effect making even the smallest gift significant.
